Ss Aidan & Oswald's is fully committed to embedding a global dimension within our curriculum and our work has been recognised by the accreditation of the International Schools Award (ISA). Our international work is a huge part of our Mission Statement, which states that "We have a special place at the heart of our community". By this, we mean identifying and celebrating the various communities we belong to at a local, national and global level, building friendships with people in a wide range of communities, recognising and celebrating differences, caring for the environment, being charitable and being peace makers. International learning is therefore at the root of everything we do. Our partnerships with schools and organisations support us in this mission. We strive to provide learning experiences at both a class and school level which not only deepen the children's knowledge and understanding of the world they live in but encourage them to be active citizens who want to make a difference. Our curriculum, peace projects, humanitarian work and links with the wider community are constantly evolving in response to the ever-changing world we live in. Our Green Ambassadors drive a lot of our international learning including work on Fairtrade Fortnight, climate change, plastic pollution and standing up for change.
