Fundraising
The children have a strong sense of local and global awareness and a genuine drive to do what they can to make the world a better place. Throughout the year, the school raises a lot of money for various charities by participating in various activities. During Lent, the children are involved in ‘Lenterprise,’ in which each class raises as much money as possible for CAFOD and St. Joseph’s Penny. At Christmas, toys and other gifts are collected from the children and adults in the school and donated to charities in the local community. Food is collected throughout the year and given to the Welcome Centre (attached to the church) that provide meals for the homeless people in the local area. We also have numerous non-uniform days and other initiatives, to collect money for different charities which are identified by the children.
