Welcome to our New Website!

Welcome to our school website.  We hope that it will give all members and partners of our school community as much information about our school as possible.

We are a Catholic school with a unique Christian mission statement driving everything we do here.  The school primarily serves the families of the parish of SS Aidan and Oswald’s.  We also reach out in friendship to many other families too. Our school community therefore is made up of a rich array of different cultural and faith backgrounds and we come together to make a special, harmonious school family which is deeply valued by all.

SS Aidan and Oswald’s is a good school where the behaviour and safety of the children and the leadership is outstanding (Ofsted).  The school’s inspection of the Catholic life of the school (Section 48) says the school is outstanding in every way. We pride ourselves on academic successes we have here, the rich and broad curriculum experience given to the children, and the happy faces of the confident children we are blessed to teach.  The staff team is strong and fully dedicated to the young people and their families. SS Aidan and Oswald’s is a special place to learn and a great place to work.

As a result, the school has a wide range of awards and achievements which reflect the drive for excellence and improvement which exists across the school.

It is our hope that we give the best possible welcome to our new arrivals to the school and our leavers move on with a fondness of their memories of the school, having reached their full potential as a whole child - academically, personally and spiritually – well-prepared for the next steps in their education as rounded, confident individuals.

Our school is a strategic partner of Salford Diocese, a member of the Catholic Federation of Oldham Schools, and proud to be part of Oldham.

We are driven by the values of the Word of God, Welcome, Worship, Witness and Welfare – the 5 W’s which underpin the distinctive nature of Catholic education in our Diocese.

We hope you enjoy our website and it gives you the information you need.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you feel that we can make improvements to our website.

Thank you
